Fully remote and Contract-to-Hire! We are seeking a skilled Data Ops Engineer who specializes in data platforms, rather than traditional DevOps, to join our remote team! This role involves a contract period of at least 6 months with the potential for permanent employment. PST time zone. Technical Skills Required: Proficiency in working with data platforms. Strong experience with Azure, specifically in automating the release process of database infrastructure. Knowledge of Synapse. Expertise in automation scripting in any preferred language. Experience using Synapse pipeline to facilitate data movement within a homegrown environment. Familiarity with Power BI (front end) and dedicated SQL pool (backend). Daily Duties: Automate data pipelines to enhance data processing and integration. Develop and build out comprehensive automation processes to streamline operations. Act as a release manager, overseeing the deployment and release of database infrastructure updates. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to identify automation opportunities within the data pipeline. Implement and maintain automated processes to ensure efficient data flow. Manage and monitor releases, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum reliability. Work closely with other team members to support data infrastructure and analytics needs. Qualifications: Proven experience in a Data Ops or similar role. Deep understanding of Azure and its applications in database infrastructure. Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
