What you can expect

Our team looks after critical IT infrastructure in the area of security. Your tasks will include the administration of relevant IT systems, such as Windows servers, switches and firewalls. You will be responsible for the further development, protection and troubleshooting of IT systems. You will keep the network components up to date with the help of software distribution. You will use documentation to facilitate collaboration within the team.

A security check is carried out in accordance with the Bavarian Security Inspection Act (BaySÜG).

You have

  • a successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
  • a successfully completed university degree with several years (at least two years) of professional experience in the IT sector or equivalent skills and experience

In particular, you will have

  • Specialist knowledge: Experience in the administration of IT systems, such as Windows servers, switches or firewall systems (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Genoa), basic knowledge of the structure of a municipal professional fire department as well as an understandable presentation of complex interrelationships
  • Result and goal orientation, in particular analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills
  • Self-reflection/ability to learn

Of advantage are

  • Certifications in the area of Microsoft operating systems or network components such as switches, firewalls or routers as well as certificates in the area of network security or infrastructure such as CCNA, CND or A+
  • Knowledge of network monitoring systems such as PRTG, Splunk or Elasticsearch
  • Experience in the ISO 27001 certification of information networks
