Duties include but are not limited to custom development of applications, scripted integrations between systems and the administration of security orchestration and automated response systems. The DevSecOps Engineer will use modern development automation and management tools to work in both Linux and Windows environments, in legacy and cloud environments. What you get to do every day: + Work with the SOC teams and client + Gather and document requirements. + Develop any necessary applications, scripts, or integrations. + Document and deploy the necessary resources to complete the request. + Support client in the implementation of systems and automation + Develop and implement security automation solutions. + Support client discovery of new development and automation opportunities + Work with MindPoint Group Automation Engineering Team to identify new technologies to improve client operations. Qualifications Secret Clearance required What skills are required? + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience + Minimum three (3) years of general work experience and two (2) years of experience as a Security Engineer + Hands-on experience in programming and scripting, e.g., Python, Go PowerShell, JavaScript, Bash, etc + Hands-on experience with docker and containerized applications + Hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems and networks + Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles + Effective verbal and written communication skills that include the ability to describe highly technical concepts in non-technical terms. + Experience with modern automation and management tools, including Ansible, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes. + Minimum of one (1) year working in FEDRAMP or GovCloud environments. + Minimum of one (1) year working in AWS cloud environments. + Experience with Git, GitLab, or GitHub and CI/CD pipelines + Experience with developing with APIs to communicate and integrate different systems. + Experience with Microsoft Office tools and Atlassian tools functional abilities What is ideal? + Advanced level technical certifications with SOC tools and technologies are strongly preferred. + Demonstrated experience providing technical and thought leadership for security systems engineering and integration for both on-premise and cloud-based SOC tools, applications, and solutions including but not limited to: anti-virus (AV), endpoint detection and response (EDR), intrusion detections systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), security information and event management (SIEM) technologies, deep packet and log analysis, email gateways, email DLP and encryption, anti-spam, web proxy applications, firewalls, load balancers, and sandbox environments + Experience with SOC ticketing, knowledge management, and reporting tools and procedures + Understanding of zero-trust architecture and tools and their impact on SOC activities + Understanding of FedRamp program requirements + Experience working in AWS & Azure environments. + Experience in systems administration in Linux and Microsoft operating systems desired + Knowledge of ELK stack, Consul, Grafana, or other dashboarding tools, as well as custom report generation, desired + Splunk, Sumo Logic, or other SIEM system knowledge desired + Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL database reporting/queries desired + Experience implementing and working in continuous integration (CI) or continuous development (CD) pipeline desired. + Experience integrating tools with Splunk and Jira is desired. The salary range for this position is typically $100k-125k.
