Job Summary:
The PR Manager – eCommerce develops and executes marketing communications plans, builds media relationships, creates content, monitors PR results, evaluates partnership opportunities, and maintains industry awareness. They manage press releases, handle crisis communications, ensure consistent messaging, and measure campaign effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics to enhance our brand’s reputation and visibility.
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
- Create content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations.
- Monitor, analyze, report, and communicate PR results on a monthly basis.
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis.
- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
- Create and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other PR materials.
- Manage crisis communications and respond to negative press.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in PR, preferably in an eCommerce or related industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong project management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with crisis management and communications.
- Strong experience in social media, digital marketing, digital communities, and eCommerce business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Able to within EU and US timezones.
