DUTIES:

•           Provide consultative strategic and ongoing leadership for planning, development, delivery and coordination of information services and initiatives ensuring they are aligned to the SUD business’ strategic imperatives.
•           Partner with broader IT, Digital and Group / Division leadership to ensure we optimize our resources and capabilities, and focus on the areas that matter most.
•           Develop a deep understanding of business requirements and be the link between business needs and IT technical roadmaps to ensure that IT delivers value in every initiative / investment we make.
•           Provide status reporting to IT and executive leadership, call out and handle risks at the appropriate levels within IT and the business.
•           Objectively analyze strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities of current people and organizational capabilities, and resolve appropriate solutions.
•           Lead change and resolve creative, cost effective solutions for business challenges.
•           Utilize understanding of the long-term vision for all business areas supported, making decisions that support the company’s strategic priorities, and helping shape these priorities through influence.
•           Build and evolve the technology roadmap to ensure that our capabilities continuously improve and evolve with the business and digital transformations.
•           Identify and lead the development of talent strategies, workforce planning, succession planning and career development for the department.
•           Actively evaluate and develop people and organizational capabilities and implement a human resource strategy which accelerates business growth and drives value.
•           Responsible for an annual operating budget, and a capital program budget working closely with Finance partners.
•           Forecast and plan for future financial needs for existing application management and projects.
•           Collaborate within IT to ensure adequate flow of project information, resourcing and budgeting.
•           Compare, contrast and benchmark services or costs against others.
Travel: Up to 20% domestic and international travel required.                                                                                                                                   

REQUIREMENTS:    

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 10 years of experience leading IT/Digital teams, including senior-level leadership and reporting, or related experience.  Required knowledge or experience with:
•           Working in a highly matrixed environment;
•           Developing and implementing a Digital/IT strategic plan;
•           Customer Engagement digital capabilities;
•           Translating technical terminology into terms understandable to management, customers and employees;
•           Establishing and maintaining effective collaborations with senior leadership; and
•           Team building, organizational and staff development skills.
