As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for conducting manual testing, verification, validation, and automation using UFT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, a keen eye for detail, and experience with UFT automation tools.

What will you do?

  • Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop automation script using UFT to ensure better requirement coverage and improve system performance.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
  • Conduct verification and validation activities to confirm that software meets specified requirements and user expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and validate software functionality.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT automation tools.
  • Integrate automated test scripts into the testing framework and execute them as part of the testing process.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and report defects in a clear and timely manner.
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues, verify fixes, and ensure the integrity of the software.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to provide input on testing activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements or Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing, verification, and validation.
  • Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience with UFT automation tools for test script development and execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and Agile methodologies.
  • Exposure to ISO 13485 and IEC 62304 standards for medical device development.
  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
