Engineering Leader – IT Department at T-Mobile Polska S.A. #vacancy #remote

Type of work: Hybrid (2 days office/3 days remote)

Type of contract: Directly B2B contract 

The Engineering Leader are responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions, driving innovation, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. They collaborate closely with Product Managers/Product Owners and business stakeholders to deliver the outstanding software.

From team perspective, they provide guidance, coaching, and support for professional growth and development of team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations, set performance goals, and ensure team members meet or exceed expectations.

What tasks await you?  

  • Setting the  strategic direction by defining execution  plans , ensuring initiatives  are align with company goals from engineering perspective.
  • Daily operations, such as  collaborating with cross-functional  teams for feature development .
  • Taking accountability for  predictability, effectiveness, quality and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Teams  development through 1:1s, coaching performance management and  recruitment to maintain a  high-performance culture .
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering and product teams,  providing project  estimates (defined by dev. Teams) *and *contributing to the overall  business impact.
  • Continuously improving his/her professional qualifications and participating in all forms of professional education.

What skills will be appreciated?

  • Ideally, you have over 2+ years of experience as a software engineering manager, leading teams responsible for high-scale production services.
  • You possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience, contributing to the development of full-stack web applications and/or distributed systems.
  • You excel at aligning and executing new technical ideas, demonstrating an understanding of best practices.
  • Proven experience in driving effective execution with agile processes in a dynamic environment.
  • A people-oriented leader, capable of modeling and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Exceptional at communicating, passionate about technology and committed to raising the bar.
