Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Data Enterprise Architect to join our Data Solutions Team. This position can be located anywhere in the US and work REMOTE with light travel.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients’ business needs.

The Enterprise Architect will provide technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients’ business needs.

Job Overview:

The role of this Enterprise Data Architect is for individuals passionate about identifying and delivering the right Business solution for each client using data technologies, Gen AI, AI/ML etc.. Will are keen to understand our customer needs, processes and pain points to determine the success factors and evaluation criteria that will be needed to measure the effectiveness.

The Enterprise Data Architect will be involved in the strategic planning of an engagement or helping the client make decisions about their future vision. Once the project has begun, will be responsible for the execution of our established methodology, work with customer and/or the teams data engineer to identify data ingestion and transformation needs, exploration of the data and reporting findings, modeling and evaluation of training iterations. It is a key part of the role to be able to explain in non-technical terms the chosen modeling approach and findings from data exploration or training results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Pursuit teams with clients as a technical SME – RFP responses, Proactive proposals etc.
  • Work with multiple business units with in Perficient
  • Lead complex client engagement delivery, often with ambiguity and little direction
  • Plan and lead workshops with client teams to understand current landscape, requirements, constraints and map to the latest technology products and platforms to come up with future architecture
  • Create phased implementation roadmaps from scope and resources perspectives
  • Articulate complex architectures to a variety of client teams, both technical and non-technical and build consensus among varying
  • Learn new technologies and platforms quickly and keep experience relevant to clients’ needs
  • Lead teams based off global locations in multiple time zones
  • Represent Perficient as an authority on enterprise architecture topics at industry forums, conferences etc.
  • Take ownership of solutions and teams

Qualifications

  • Strong experience architecting enterprise architectures in multiple domains
  • Strong experience with multiple industry specific tools and technologies
  • Expertise in at least two hyperscale technologies – AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Expertise in cloud-based data warehouse and/or Lakehouse technology platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks etc.
  • Strong experience in latest data trends and associated technologies including, but not limited to, Data Quality, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Master Data Management
  • Familiarity with Data Governance Concepts
  • Experience with virtualization platforms
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies
  • Expertise in building solutions from scratch as well as modernizing legacy architectures
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical users at various levels – typically department directors to C-Suite
  • Experience with both on-premises and cloud technologies and platforms
  • Expertise architecting solutions with multiple disciplines – performance, scalability, security
  • Crisp and clear communication – both verbal and written
  • Ability to create strong presentations using various tools
  • Knowledge of up-and-coming AI tools and technologies and industry trends

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
