Scope of the position
We are looking for an
Expert in EU Regulatory Affairs
to evaluate changes in the European regulatory environment and advise MOL Group management on, and elaborate and coordinate internally/externally proposals for, courses of action in order to achieve MOL Group’s business strategy.
What would be your key responsibilities?
Assessing EU regulatory changes relevant to MOL Group business activity and elaborating proposals, submissions, pre-decision-making papers, setting advocacy plans. Coordinating the activity of external and internal stakeholdersaccording to the approved advocacy plans or work plans. Networking with officials according to the plans. Evaluating and reporting on execution of actions and work plans, achievements. Representing the companyin professional associations as needed. Making project leader level decisions within the scope of specific actionswith special focus on EU energy and industrial policy, including gas and electricity markets, critical raw materials as well as sustainable finance, relevant for MOL Group businesses – Upstream, Downstream, Petrochemicals and Waste Management. Actively supporting the regulatory advocacyactivities of MOL Group member and subsidiary companies with professional papers reflecting MOL Group positions, as well as contributing to industry common positions in professional associations.
We are looking for you with:
University Degree or equivalent studies Technical/economic/legal professional qualification and background preferred Min. 3 years of relevant professional experience; minimum 5 years of overall work experience Comprehensive knowledge of EU policies and the European legislative process; general knowledge of, as well as an ability and willingness to quickly absorb and evaluate, EU regulations and directives relevant to MOL operations Ability to work in teams with internal and external stakeholders of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds; ability and experience to act as a lead in certain team formats High-level knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of certain SAP modules Fluent in English (any other European language is a plus)
