Full Stack Rails Developer at StatusGator #vacancy #remote

We are a small team of Rails developers looking for another full-stack developer to join our team. We pride ourselves in providing organized tasks with well-defined deliverables. We’d love to have someone else onboard on a long-term basis to help tackle our backlog.

The work touches all facets of our app — from CSS to JS to backend Ruby development. Traditionally our team is heavy on backend talent so it would be great to have someone who leans towards the front end. Our front end stack is unglamorous and old-school: CSS, HTML (Haml), JS, JQuery. It’s not fancy but it works great.

Our code is well tested with RSpec and very organized. We move fast and deploy to production 3 to 5 times a day. Rails developers tell us that it’s one of the best projects they have seen. We think you’ll enjoy working on it and working with us.

What is StatusGator?

StatusGator is a status aggregator. We aggregate the status of all your cloud vendors and SaaS tools and give your team a single status page. Never be surprised by a GitHub outage again — StatusGator alerts you to downtime across more than 2,500 providers. We have been in business — bootstrapped and profitable — since 2015, and just raised a small investment round to help accelerate our growth.

Why work for StatusGator?

We are a tiny team: Two Rails-developer cofounders, each with more than 17 years experience with Rails. We are a 100% remote and global team who all work asynchronously with very limited meetings.

You will get to work on hard problems involving web scraping, data normalization and even machine learning. We’d love if you have some Rails experience but you need not be an expert — you will work alongside us and we will teach you everything we know about building stable, scalable Rails applications.
