Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect Location: Anywhere in United States, remote We are looking for Google Cloud Architect for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client leaders. Job Summary: We are seeking a Google Cloud Architect to lead the setup of our cloud environment and assist with the implementation of applications on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, infrastructure design, and hands-on experience with GCP services. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and robust GCP cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to architect and deploy cloud-native applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company security policies.
- Provide technical leadership in cloud adoption, optimization, and ongoing management.
- Conduct system performance analysis and optimize for scalability and reliability.
- Manage cloud resources and monitor service consumption to control costs.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline cloud operations and processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of IT Infrastructure experience with 5+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture role, with a focus on GCP.
- Proven track record of setting up and managing GCP environments.
- Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and cloud service models.
- Experience with Windows Server and MS SQL
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent certification.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $114,400 to $141,300 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
