The Evangelical High Church Council manages the administration of the regional church. It advises parishes, church districts and church institutions on theological and legal issues. The supervision of the administration of the church districts and parishes as well as of the regional church organizations and institutions lies with the Oberkirchenrat, as does the supervision of the employees of the regional church.

For Department 7.4 “Information Technology Regional Church and Upper Church Council”, we are looking for you as a computer scientist (m/f/d) in Business Continuity Management with a scope of employment of 100% at the earliest possible date.

Your tasks:

  • Maintaining business operations even in the event of serious disruptions to information processing
  • Developing and updating business continuity management at the Evangelical Church Council and supporting the specialist departments with the introduction of new procedures
  • Identifying and evaluating the potential consequences of disruptions to IT systems on business operations
  • Creation of business continuity and recovery plans and regular testing of these with the help of emergency tests
  • Advising the specialist departments on setting up and maintaining an organization-wide emergency management system
  • Collaboration with the information security management team and the information security officer as well as the administrators of the IT department
  • Collaboration with the IT administrators in the implementation of measures and restart exercises

Your profile:

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics or administrative sciences with a focus on computer science or a similar subject or a comparable qualification
  • Knowledge of ITIL Foundation
  • Experience in information security and emergency management
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in recording and analyzing processes
  • Current knowledge/experience in the administration of Windows servers and networks
  • we generally expect membership of a member church of the Evangelical Church in Germany
