FULLY remote: Contract or Contract to Hire depending on location. Responsibilities: Review and analyze inpatient medical records to ensure accurate coding. Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation when necessary. Maintain compliance with federal coding rules and guidelines. Qualifications: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Education: prefer candidates with relevant degrees such as an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Nursing, Health Information Management, or a related field. Certifications: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
