SHARE Mutual of Omaha is seeking a talented Engineer to join our efforts of building, enhancing and maintaining integration platforms that enable developers to deliver solutions in a standardized, secure and highly automated manner. By joining the team, you will have an opportunity to work on our API Integration Management platform (MuleSoft) and our Event Driven Architecture platform (Business Event Bus). This role involves influencing and collaborating with feature development teams, infrastructure and operations teams and business leadership to solve enterprise integration challenges. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU: Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications): Engineer I: $95,000 – $115,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. Engineer II: $110,000 – $125,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. Engineer III: $125,000 – $150,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match. Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year. Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion. Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Take responsibility for the design, testing, implementation, governance, debugging and support of key technology platforms that support our integration platforms Be or become the expert in one or more of the following platforms: MuleSoft, AWS, Event Bus (hybrid AWS/MuleSoft) Act as an internal consultant and mentor for our partners and junior staff. Provide task-level leadership, guidance, and direction. Make sure appropriate security and privacy measures are implemented on technology solutions to protect Company data from intentional or accidental misuse and comply with all Company Information Services policies and standards. Pursue Operational Excellence in all endeavors, striving on a routine basis to identify and implement continuous process improvements. WHAT YOULL BRING: 3+ years of experience as a Software/Systems/Integration Engineer with: Microservices development and design patterns, Java web applications (Spring Boot), GitHub, MuleSoft API Development, AWS Minimum of 1 year of experience with Platform Management (Operations, Automation, Support and Enablement). API and/or Event Bus platform management preferred. A deep understanding of or willingness to learn Integration Platforms. Strong written and verbal communication. Curiosity, flexibility and a willingness to work out of your comfort zone.
