Your tasks
- Management and operational tasks share your attention almost equally (40/60): In your role as a lead, you are authentic and transparent, recognize and promote potential, solve problems and unite the different personalities and skills in your chapter to form a harmonious unit.
- With team spirit and trust, you create an atmosphere in which everyone pulls together and there is always room for your own ideas.
- As a web engineer, you are also part of the agile, cross-functional team and design and implement web applications, backend components and APIs.
- Your view is holistic: you manage the design, development, live implementation, operation, further development and optimization throughout the entire life cycle of the applications, create user stories / epics and coordinate business requirements.
- In general, communication is your ace, with which you convince in cooperation with product owners, designers and customer journey experts and thus further optimize our frontend.
- You also draw the trump card when you coordinate, design and implement frontend and backend components with other development teams and when you keep your team up to date with comprehensible technical documentation.
- You keep quality high in everything you do, including through code reviews and unit and integration tests.
Your profile
- STEM or economics degree or a comparable qualification
- Practical experience in backend development with Java and frontend development with JavaScript
- Know-how of common Java and JavaScript frameworks and web technologies
- Interest in topics related to CI/CD, container technologies and Azure DevOps
- Experience in leading teams according to needs and resources
- Independent and structured way of working paired with an agile mindset
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
