IT Compliance Consultant
The IT Compliance Consultant works under general supervision performing, executing, and contributing to Bayer’s reputation and shareholder value by continuously monitoring changes to Bayer directives and applicable external regulations. Identifies and resolves complex assignments while determining when problems should be escalated to a higher level. IT Compliance area focus is IT Security.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Promote compliance with Bayer directives and applicable external regulations (e.g. IT Security, financial controls,country-specific, etc.)
- Partner with divisions/functions to direct implementation of IT controls
- Develop strong relationships with Bayer’s compliance community (e.g.CAO, Audit, Legal, etc.) and external auditors to develop guidance for internal project and system audits
- Conduct compliance readiness audits and risk assessments
- Act as key point of contact for audits and distribute audit information as necessary
- Assess proposed projects for potential compliance implications
- Help Bayer AG understand the business implications of internal risk and compliance directives
Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):
- Preferably University degree in science or information technology, or equivalent qualification
- Working knowledge of IT and specifically IT Security. Work experience with IT governance, risk, and compliance topics. Understanding of the concept of IT security controls, standard operating procedures, and the risk assessment process.
- Adept at communicating orally and in writing in English
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a global team
