Position Summary We are searching for motivated software developers to support our client’s growing customer base in the US. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be a customer-oriented person. This position will work independently as a team member responsible for prompt and timely delivery of new development, configuration tasks, setup tasks, maintenance incidents, responding to customer questions, and other duties as assigned by the Team Lead. The successful candidate must be able to work remotely in the United States. The successful candidate must be able to travel to Germany within the first month of employment for approximately 4 weeks for orientation and training. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience:Minimum Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience:Software Developer: 1 to 5 years professional programming experience Proven development experience in Java Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, React, XML, Web application servers Working knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux Experience working with databases – Oracle, SQL Experience with full lifecycle software development (SDLC) practices such as Scrum and DevOps Experience in integration of software systems such as GIS, EAM, ERP, etc. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications Education Requirements: Minimum BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other STEM related major Responsibilities: Perform assigned tasks in implementation projects of the Company’s software products including product configuration/customization, design, testing Work independently and as a member of a team to support and enhance the Company’s software products Maintain and/or modify existing applications as part of application support or specific development projects Maintain applications demo environments Provide customer technical support Communicate directly with client users to troubleshoot issues and/or identify requirements for new or enhanced functionality Collaborate with management, departments and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications Design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements Test and deploy programs and applications Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software products Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects Key Considerations: Successful candidates must be able to travel to Germany within first month of employment for approximately 4 weeks for orientation and training Experience with Esri GIS technology is preferred Proven success in productively working remotely Excellent customer service orientation Proven written and oral communication skills Ability to work well with technical team members and technical or non-technical customers Ability to maintain an acceptable level of productivity working remotely full time from home Basic understanding of natural gas utility operations is a plus Working Conditions: Position will be remotely located (work from home) Travel to client sites as necessary (Approximately 10%) Benefits and Wages Benefits 401k with company matching Monthly health care allowance Paid vacation and sick time 10 paid company Holidays FLSA and Employment Status: All positions are full time, exempt.
