Job Role: Java Software Engineer
Job Location: US/Remote
Profile Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer to play a critical role in defining, designing, and implementing industry-leading analytics software and services. Our ideal candidate is experienced with Java technologies, understands good system and API design, and loves to build highly scalable, reliable, and manageable distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical specifications, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Help our team develop, follow, and improve processes and designs to maximize the capability, availability, performance, and maintainability of our platform.
- Collaborate with internal technical leaders to leverage and grow knowledge, libraries, approaches, and designs across the company.
- Deliver software — your own and your team’s — in an agile, dynamic, and remote-first team setting.
- Think deeply about hard problems! We need innovative problem solvers.
- Communicate early and often with teammates and stakeholders. Effective, frequent, and proactive communication is key to our workflow.
Technical Skills
- 5+ years’ experience as a Java Software Engineer
- Experience with Spring Boot (3.x preferred)
- Experience with Gradle
- Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with AWS EC2
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- Developing software in a continuous integration environment.
- Excellent communication, both oral and written
- Willingness to learn.
- Dedication to continuous improvement.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Python
- TSQL: Complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers
- Elasticsearch
- Gitlab CI/CD
- Experience with other AWS offerings, including S3, Route 53, Lambda, ECS, SQS
