Description LOCATION: Dallas, Minneapolis, Atlanta or Boston Join our dynamic software engineering team at Spok! We seek a passionate and innovative Junior Software Engineer focusing on back-end development to contribute to our projects in telephony and networking. This is an excellent opportunity for those with a few years of experience to grow their skills in a cutting-edge environment. Responsibilities >Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable back-end code. >Work with telephony protocols, PBX and networking systems, and related technologies to build scalable products. >Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. >Identify bottlenecks and defects, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. >Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards. >Produce or maintain technical documentation of features. >Assist in integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. >Engage in project planning and provide timely updates on progress. >Stay up-to-date with trends in emerging software engineering, telephony, and networking technologies. Required Education, Skills & Experience >Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. >1-3 years of experience in software development. >Strong proficiency in server-side programming languages, C#, dotnet core. >Experience with telephony systems, protocols, or networking. >Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum. >Knowledge of database management and basic architecture principles. >Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines. >Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
