About the project, We are a team of Software and Network Engineers working on green-field automated firewall configuration migration workflow and client side implementations. Our Engineers support projects with their knowledge of networks and hands-on experience to deliver a working service from start to finish., , Other things to know:, , We build our software using a recent Python version and popular libraries like Pydantic and SQLAlchemy., , We follow and promote Agile principles., , We collaborate closely with Professional Services engineers on the client side, , The client is based in the US, , We work on multiple interesting projects at a time, so we may invite you to an interview for another project if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.
Your responsibilities, Problem analysis and gathering the requirements,, Implementation of new functionalities,, Maintenance of existing components of the product,, Contributing to the solution architecture and code quality,, Writing unit tests and performing code reviews,, Cooperation with the team and the Customer on developing and improving the automation toolbox.
Proven 2+ years of professional, hands-on experience as a software engineer or similar role, Hands-on experience with Python 3.9+, Good understanding of basic concepts in computer networks, Knowledge of Linux and Windows software development environments, Hands-on experience with Git and understanding version control principles, Fluency in English (B2 level minimum), Willingness to learn – you will face challenges that require creativity, individual solutions and teamwork with senior peers
Optional, Experience writing software/scripts for network or cybersecurity related applications, Knowledge of Python ORM libraries, Good understanding of the principles and features of modern firewalls, Understanding of DevOps tools and practices, Experience with Ansible, Docker, VMWare, Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI), Knowledge of trends and practices in cybersecurity
