Lead QA Engineer (100% Remote) Primary Location: 100% Remote V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Lead QA Engineer (100% Remote) for our premier client. Education and Experience ” Top 3-5 must-have skills: Strong experience interpreting business requirements, acceptance criteria; using them as the foundation for creating test plans and test cases. Ability to identify what’s important and prioritize test cases accordingly. Experience creating Testing Strategy documents for new applications and new features. Define test types appropriate for the application, understand the difference between load and performance testing. The know-how of investigating issues. Identify the cause of and resolve problems with test automation. Spot defects in the software and provide thorough documentation of the issue, including detailed repro steps. A track record of creating automated test scripts in one or more BDD automation frameworks. Direct experience with Serenity BDD is a plus. Strong practical coding knowledge, ability to write automation scripts in Java. Experience reviewing code written by other engineers for adherence to framework’s standards and best practices. Knowledge of continuous integration tools, such as Azure DevOps, source code version control system such as GitHub Nice-to-have skills: Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools. Management of test plans in ADO or similar platforms. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ” Java and Serenity BDD for automation. React front-end. Java and C# backend. Postgres and MS SQL. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Will be responsible for assigning stories to other QA engineers, prioritizing work, reviewing code, and helping resolve issues. Timely execute appropriate regression tests at the end of each sprint. The tests selected will depend on the features and functionality developed in the sprint. Actively participate and contribute to defining test scope, coverage, and overall strategy for projects. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Standup, Backlog grooming and estimate the level of effort to complete each story. Be responsible for QA validation of stories planned for a sprint. This will include analyzing the story and its AC, developing appropriate test cases, manual execution of the test cases, and automation of priority-one test cases. Automation is a part of the definition of done for each story. Also be responsible for maintenance of the existing test cases, making adjustments as features are being developed and new functionality is being introduced. Ensure products meet or exceed the specified standards, acceptance criteria and end-user requirements. Perform Positive/Negative/Integration/Regression/Automation/Browser Compatibility Tests with great focus on reporting. Interested?
