Job Description

U.S. Bank National Association is seeking the position of Lead Software Engineer (Remote) (multiple positions) in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design, document, develop, test, implement, monitor, maintain and support Risk Data Platforms, including subject area marts and interfaces to downstream applications.
  • Gather and process large, complex, raw data sets at scale.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data, ensuring data integrity and data quality.
  • Work with Data pipeline and workflow tools to extract values from large disconnected datasets with ETL, Data Engineering and stream- processing systems.
  • Build processes to support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • Collaborate with risk management and security team to identify the standards and lead the design, build, and rollout of secured and compliance data services.
  • Perform deployments and project milestone tracking.
  • Work with Data warehouse team on Gap elements to understand and document business use case/risk and design solutions to mitigate business risk.
  • Understand source raw files and relationships from new applications, maintain Business Glossaries, and create and maintain physical and logical data model in M1 tool.
  • Work with Cross Functional team including data engineers, designers, and stakeholders to define and execute data product roadmap and drive vision of data analytics.
  • Identify and analyze patterns in complex data to provide answers to business questions and help in report creation.
  • Present data and analysis in a clean and concise manner allowing Business stakeholders to understand and make data driven decisions.
  • Embrace Infrastructure-as-code, and handle the full data service lifecycle.
  • Write infrastructure, application, and data automated test cases and participate in code review sessions.
  • Analyze, review, and support data mapping and data profiling efforts Troubleshoot data migration issues and provide level 3 support for troubleshooting and services restoration in production.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field of study, and 5 years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, Consultant, or related occupation. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field of study, and 3 years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, Consultant, or related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:

Position requires experience with the following: (1) Collibra; (2) SQL; (3) Wherescape Streaming; (4) Wherescape RED; (5) DevOps; (6) Bitbucket; (7) JIRA; (8) Agile; (9) CI/CD; (10) Informatica; (11) PowerCenter; and (12) M1 Data Modeling tool. Telecommuting available anywhere in the U.S. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402.

Pay Range: $129,147 – $171,000 annually.
