The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

RTX has an opening for a Manager (SAP) Business Systems Software and Development (Manager, Business Systems and Transformation). Individual Contributor Role. REMOTE Opportunity.

Dynamic opportunity for an experienced and energetic person who can comfortably assume responsibility and take on challenges in unfamiliar areas:

  • Apply an understanding of the configuration in support of SAP (FI-CO), Banking and Tax includes the FI Subledgers for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Fixed Assets (FA)

  • Systems configuration knowledge

  • Possess a thorough understanding of Financial Operating Processes and how they interact across other inter-dependent SAP Modules such as HR, Materials Management, Project Systems and Sales & Distribution

What You Will Do:

  • Work with a broad multi-disciplined user base to support system change requirements, develop functional specifications and ensure project execution

  • Act in a Functional capacity with the expectation of supporting Business Processes in conjunction with System Requirements for multiple areas of SAP

  • Provide expertise and delivery for the (FI-CO) functional life cycle phases

  • Ensure solutions meet customer needs as well as Service Level Agreements and consider compliance requirements for Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Sarbanes/Oxley

  • Responsible for ad-hoc projects and to provide guidance, measure deliverables and communicate with multiple levels within the organization

  • Prepare functional requirement specifications

  • Deliver hands-on day to day SAP production support

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically a Minimum 8+ years’ experience supporting financial software applications and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree or minimum of 5+ years and an Advanced Degree

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience with the IT life cycle: Requirements/Analysis, Design, Specification, Code/Configuration, Development Testing, Change Management, Sustain, and Optimize

  • Demonstrated solutions design experience in financial areas

  • SAP knowledge across FI, CO, MM, SD and HR modules

  • Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Defense Industry Accounting and SAP experience

  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations

  • Functional finance experience

  • Global SAP deployment and implementation experience

  • Fluent with Microsoft Tool Suite

  • Demonstrated project management and agile methodology proficiency

  • Familiarity with GAAP & Sarbanes Oxley

  • Demonstrated Project Management proficiency

  • Advanced ability to interpret business requirements and challenges into viable & optimal solutions

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Critical thinker, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills, adding energetic input within a team environment

  • Detail Oriented with the ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

  • Potential to assume responsibility for ad-hoc projects that may require manpower resources during critical times

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD – 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
