Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coder/Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will utilize electronic medical record systems to accurately create and manage healthcare claims, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities: Utilize electronic medical record systems to accurately create and manage healthcare claims. Apply extensive knowledge of medical terminology and industry standard coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT to assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in key concepts of medical billing including authorizations, eligibility, patient responsibility, and other related processes. Investigate and resolve claim denials and manage accounts receivable in compliance with payor medical policies and regulations. Navigate health insurance and payor systems, as well as electronic portals, to facilitate efficient billing and reimbursement processes. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and industry trends. Preferred experience in orthopedic surgery or other surgical subspecialties. Preferred experience with major EMR/PM systems such as Athenahealth, Centricity, eClinicalWorks. Requirements: Proficiency in English language skills at either C1or C2 level is required English Resume is required. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing and Coding, or related field preferred. Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) preferred. Proven experience working in medical coding and billing, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes. Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software applications. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
