Overview Placement Type: Temporary Salary (USD): $75-84/hr Start Date: 06.17.2024 The Retirement Planning Services team is looking for a talented technologist to develop and support our Record Keeping systems. This role will call for strong software application design and development skills, along with a strong desire to work closely within a team setting. This role will provide an individual with excellent growth opportunities in regards to their technical skillsets. The opportunity provides candidates exposure to a seasoned team with lengthy experience in their respective fields, along with a leadership team that allows for flexibility in how the team can best achieve success. The role will require someone who can do the following:
- Assist with design and develop software application systems mainly revolving around retirement plan administration.
- Participate on an agile team of developers, testers, product owners and scrum masters.
- Participate in discussions and engage other team members to flesh out system requirements where minimal information is provided.
- From time to time, design and build automated tests
- Release applications to production environments on a regularly scheduled basis.
- The ideal candidate will possess a good balance of strong technical skills along with excellent communication and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
- 11+ years’ C# /.Net experience
- Design, development, testing, deployment, and support of highly reliable and scalable technology for retirement plan administration
- Working collaboratively on an agile team of developers, testers, product owners and scrum masters.
- Supporting applications and systems in a production environment
- Reviewing requirements and translating them into a documented technical design
- Designing and building automated tests
- Interacting with individuals from across Schwab in different supporting organizations and business groups
- DELPHI batch processing, adding new features to legacy systems
- Experience building web applications with a modern JavaScript framework (asp.net)
- Working knowledge of cloud frameworks & design patterns such as Micro-services, Micro-UI, 12-factor design, OOD etc.
- Experience building cloud-ready applications (AWS, Azure, GCF, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or similar cloud infrastructure)
- Automated testing frameworks and tools (Selenium, TDD, Jasmine, Karma)
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $75.93 to $84.37 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
