As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for interfacing directly with end-users and vendors to assess, recommend, implement, and support network solutions. Supports the development and maintenance of network documentation. Evaluates and recommends new technologies as they relate to the businesses network strategy. Responsibilities:
- Actively participates in network troubleshooting & support.
- Validating & documenting network topology maps utilizing Visio.
- Handling, tracking, and resolving support requests promptly through ticketing systems.
- Develops, communicates, implements, and maintains network policies, standards, and procedures, including updating and maintaining the knowledge base.
- Supports department staff in the analysis,solution, and documentation of network issues and problems.
- Solicits feedback and provides input on department best practices and actively seeks out opportunities for improvement by following industry practices.
- Continually enhances understanding of the company’s IT infrastructure and network topology, contributing to improved operations and personal expertise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need: ** Education: Associates degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience required Licenses/Certification:
- CCNA, Network or other industry recognized certifications preferred. Current or previous certifications acceptable.
- Azure and/or GCP certifications preferred.
** Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience as a network engineer in a health care facility, or large-scale Enterprise network environment. Experience with Aruba, Arista, Cisco Fortigate switches, Cisco routers and SDWan, Fortinet, and Meraki preferred.
