Welcome to the launch pad of your cybersecurity career! Now a part of Cyber Advisors, White Oak Security’s Internship Program is now an Apprenticeship. Built to further the skills and career prospects of technical security professionals early in their careers, selected candidates will work with and learn from highly experienced security testers in a real-world environment to gain competency in network and application penetration testing. We believe in nurturing talent right from the ground up. Our Penetration Testing Apprenticeship Program offers a unique, hands-on approach to learning that sets you up for success in the dynamic world of offensive security.
Goals For Our Program

- Train strong candidates for a position on our penetration testing team.
- Advise and guide young professionals as they enter the penetration testing industry.
Program Structure & Duration
- Comprehensive Training: Our apprenticeship spans 6 months, covering everything from the basics of cybersecurity to advanced penetration testing techniques.
- Phased Learning Approach: Start with foundational knowledge and progressively tackle more complex scenarios. Each phase is designed to build on the last, ensuring a thorough understanding of each aspect of offensive security.

Suggested Skills
- 2+ years of penetration testing or bug bounty experience (optional, but preferred)
- Fluent in English
- Access to reliable, high speed internet connection
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with peers, leadership, and clients
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Cross-training in other areas of cybersecurity such as threat intelligence, incident response, or vulnerability management
- Bonus – candidate holds professional offensive security certifications (OSCP, Portswigger, CRTO, etc.)
