We seek for a

Petrophysicist

to join MOL Group’s Exploration & Production Division in order to evaluate and analyse oil and natural gas reservoirs to determine properties and quality of available resources by integrating logging, core analyses, rock, fluid and production data for formation evaluation and reservoir characterization.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

Participates in the Global Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator team’s work with providing expert opinion on related internal projects or new venture and business development related opportunities. Acts as a center of excellence for DHI based exploration, maintaining connections on Group level with relevant experts and Exploration Teams.

Keeps track of the news on relevant technologies

Develops, builds and maintains database to provide reliable data

Supports geophysicists in building rock physics models of the related wider area. Participate in well data acquisition, editing, QA\QC and evaluation including logs, core and fluid data, to determine reservoir properties and quality of resources available. Perform advanced petrophysical evaluation, including multi-mineral modeling of complex lithological formations using Techlog software, working with wireline and LWD logs, core analysis and test results. Supports geoscientists with their exploration and development activities.

Requirements:

You should have a MsC. degree in Geosciences or related field.

5 years of experience, professional experience in oil and gas industry Required skills : exploration geology and/or geophysics – mastery expert/knowledge of siliciclastic sedimentology and stratigraphy, hydrocarbon systems and in particular seismic interpretation, petrophysical analysis, prospecting, drilling knowledge. The ideal candidate is a person with excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Hungarian is an advantage), ability to work in multi-& cross-disciplinary teams, goal oriented, capable and willing to work independently.
