Role Overview
As a Backend Engineer, youâll play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the server-side components of our software applications. Youâll work closely with databases, server-side scripting languages, APIs, and server architecture to ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems. Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements analysis and planning.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and User Experience Designers to deliver exceptional features on time.
- Contribute to community-driven decisions and shape technical roadmaps.
- Develop, test, and maintain domain-specific solutions.
- Engage in code reviews.
- Mentor other engineers.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven work experience as a Backend Engineer.
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as PHP.
- Working knowledge of CMS frameworks.
- Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, and CSS).
- Excellent analytical and time management skills.
- Strong teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with .NET.
- Familiarity with TypeScript and React.
- Knowledge of CI and CD pipeline creation.
- Exposure to cloud environments.
