The Marketing & Revenue operations team is a dynamic, driven, fast-paced and highly engaged group. Together, the team is responsible for delivering best-in-class brand marketing, customer marketing, product marketing, pricing, revenue forecasting, sales targeting, and business intelligence & analytics capabilities to the overall TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods business. We are the focal point for driving the business’ organic growth strategy and work closely with cross functional partners across our sales, product, finance, technology, and engineering teams.
In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for ensuring we are optimizing our pricing approaches across the Consumer Goods software products and maximizing our revenue and profit potential. In addition to the broader marketing team, you will work cross-functionally with finance, sales, operations, and product management to develop the pricing plans and measure the outcomes. The ideal candidate should have a background in pricing, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate pricing strategies to stakeholders.
Here’s how:
- Develop and execute pricing strategies for Consumer Goods software products and services.
- Partner with market research and product marketing teams to identify pricing trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
- Analyze pricing data and metrics to identify opportunities for pricing optimization and revenue and margin growth.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
- Provide pricing guidance and support to sales teams, including pricing negotiations and deal analysis.
- Develop and maintain pricing tools, models, and dashboards to facilitate pricing analysis and decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate pricing performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact pricing strategies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to pricing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Lead bid and deal governance, along with contract customization, for Consumer Goods product areas.
- Present pricing strategies and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
What you bring to this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, preferably in the software industry and/or agriculture, consumer goods, or telecommunications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Proficiency in pricing analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate pricing strategies to stakeholders.
- Proven track record of implementing successful pricing strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of pricing best practices.
