In this position you will be defining, owning, and contributing to efforts to Evaluate, Enable, Improve, and Secure the Public Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Identifying and driving improvement to the ongoing Public Cloud Platform security posture and operational items. Supporting public cloud platform enabling security products and tools. Partnering with Enterprise Information Security on both proactive and reactive efforts. The complexity of this role can be challenging. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain and operate the public cloud security enablement tools Partner with security, compliance, and public cloud platform engineering to identify and implement cloud platform security gaps Partner with Product leadership to complete security work, provide requirements, and stake holder input Create and drive cloud security operations roadmap Prioritize cloud operations security work by assessing risk and seeking stakeholder input Become a SME on the security products and services used to secure the public cloud for the enterprise Create playbooks with and for Security Incident Response Security anomaly detection enablement and analysis Work with Cloud hosting vendors pushing boundaries on cloud platform security tooling and configurations High Priority on call support owning and driving security remediation Public Cloud Security Hygiene; Key rotations, Security finding remediation, and Security tool enablement drift detection Provide management updates, status reporting, and dashboards from a cloud platform security perspective to demonstrate progress and process maturity. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or 5+ years equivalent experience 5+ years of experience architecting, delivering, and operating large scale, highly available system 5+ years of experience with at least 1 engineering/scripting tool such as Jenkins, Terraform, CLI, Powershell, Python 4+ years of experience in public cloud security or equivalent security experience 1+ years of experience in Log aggregation reporting tools, such as: Elasticsearch, Splunk Preferred Qualifications: Certification in a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) Healthcare Industry experience Experience in managing and using a Public Cloud Platform (GCP, AWS, Azure) Experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope Familiarity with IT standards and best practices, audit, security and compliance (ex: ITIL, ITSM, SOC2, HIPAA, NIST, HITRUST CSF) *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
