The Position

We are looking for you to join Roche and our Services & Solutions Center in Budapest.

What we do:

The Record to Report Department , often abbreviated as R2R department provides financial services for more than 130 affiliates in the EMEA region . Our main areas covered are: General Ledger Accounting, Management Accounting, Treasury and Accounts Receivable. The department is constantly expanding since our main goal is to perform end-to-end accounting activities in the near future. 

As a qualified expert you:

  • Perform complete, stringent and timely financial tasks including but not limited to: Fixed asset and CAPEX accounting activities, calculate, post and reconcile leased assets, Reporting for consolidation, Reconciliations between systems and modules, Preparation of Audit documentation and participation in internal and external Audits

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration (Proactively seek opportunities to allow more effective cooperation between team members regardless of country/functional assignments,  Provide help of other team members in need of assistance due to workload, Handling incoming calls & emails from other Roche Affiliates, Align with non-financial departments and 3 rd party as needed)

  • Closely collaborate and align on priorities with the Country Chief Accountant and propose process and system improvements.

  • Contribute continuously to the improvement of the performance of the Local Finance Team and Roche-Budapest.

  • Perform various assignments in flexible manner (including cross geographic or cross functional tasks that might arise as business evolves)

  • Actively participate in workshops, meetings and work-related team events

  • Display high integrity on the job and comply with the Roche guidelines

What you can bring to our team:

  • We are seeking an individual with 2-4 years of related experience in finance and accounting , working experience in SSC environment is desirable.

  • High School Graduate & Chartered Accountant or similar level economic studies or University or College Education, concentration on Finance or Accounting

  • Result-oriented

  • Team player

  • Multicultural acceptance

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) are essential, German is an advantage.

  • Desirable: Accounting IAS Certification (CPA, ACCA etc.), Willingness to travel (20%)
