Job Summary: Our health company is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team. As an Insurance Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes and requirements, and working closely with software developers to design, develop and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our company. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development and requirements gathering, as well as a deep understanding of the insurance industry. Duties/Responsibilities: Analyze and document business requirements and processes Work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and software developers to design and develop software solutions Collaborate with internal business stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit business rules, identify, and implement process improvements, conduct root cause analysis, and perform system investigations Create workflows, process documentation, use cases, activity diagrams, and other business process modeling methods and tools, as applicable. Manage projects and initiatives from start to finish, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing and ensure software solutions meet business requirements Develop and maintain technical documentation Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Provide technical subject matter expertise to detail out change orders and expanded scope. Conduct system training for company users Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish rapport, credibility, trust, and positive relationships with direct reports, including those working remotely. Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work activities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Required Education and Experience: 4+ years of experience in software development, business analysis or project management Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field Strong understanding of the insurance industry required Knowledge of software development methodologies Experience with requirements gathering and documentation Proficient in project management tools such as Jira or Trello Preferred Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. *The starting salary for this position ranges between $75,000 – $90,000.
