About the role

At Midtown Stays, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional accommodations and experiences for our guests. As we continue to grow and expand our portfolio of short-term rental properties, we are looking for a skilled Revenue Manager to take our pricing strategies to the next level. This role is critical in ensuring that our properties are competitively priced while maximizing revenue.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to adapt pricing strategies based on real-time data. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive pricing models that are applicable across various property and market types. Your work will directly impact our profitability and help us stay ahead in a competitive market.

Additionally, you will play a key role in communicating with our clients, the property owners, to explain our pricing strategies and ensure they are confident in our processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will need to articulate complex pricing models and strategies in a way that is easily understandable.

About you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy Development : Create and adjust pricing strategies to maximize revenue based on market conditions and competitor analysis.
  • Market Analysis : Monitor market trends, demand forecasts, and competitor pricing to make informed pricing decisions.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze performance data and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Demand Forecasting : Predict future demand to set optimal pricing and availability strategies.
  • Customer Relationship Management : Maintain good relationships with key clients and partners to secure repeat business.
  • Performance Review and Adjustment : Continuously review performance and make necessary adjustments to pricing and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Review and Adjust Strategies : Maintain and periodically review the effectiveness of pricing strategies. Conduct weekly reviews of underperforming properties, making necessary adjustments to pricing models or using short-term overrides to ensure partner properties perform in line with expectations and comparable properties.
  • Reporting and Documentation : Prepare and submit reports to property owners, detailing market events, impacts from non-market events (e.g., reviews, maintenance issues), and observations about adjustments made.

    Requirements:

  1. Prior experience with revenue management or data analysis in an industry that requires dynamic pricing (Airlines, Hotel, etc).
  2. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  3. 100% written and spoken English proficiency, you will be speaking directly with clients via zoom

REQUIRED HOURS:

  • 7:00 am – 4:00 pm CST (USA)
  • Friday – Tuesday (five days a week)
  • Please note that the shifts will change one hour once per year when the USA has daylight savings time
  • Please note that Holidays are some of the busiest times for us in the hospitality industry – paid time off (if eligible) is not allowed during holidays

COMPENSATION:

STARTING: $1300 – 1800 USD / month (negotiable based on experience)

  • Paychecks are processed every other Wednesday to be deposited every other Friday
  • Employment will be temporary for the first 90 days at which time we will do an assessment*
  • If you meet all expectations after 90 days, we will continue with your contract. Re-assessment will be scheduled on your 6th month with us.
