Our partner is a well-known brand in the aviation industry. The Development team in Budapest – which was founded 2 years ago – is rapidly growing, hence we are seeking our next colleague to contribute to the upcoming huge SAP transformation projects as internal software engineer in long term.
Scope of the job
As an SAP Software Engineer, your daily tasks include
- Make use of the right technology and govern architecture for products in line with the organisational objectives, ensuring that the right technologies are chosen to strike an optimal balance between achieving business goals, realising functional and technical requirements, and managing technical debt, development costs, and continuity costs.
- Design and implement the overall architecture aligned with other optimisers for the product to deliver
- Translate business needs into compelling products and deliver them to end users so that business value is created
- Take care of specification, design, engineering, testing, delivery, maintenance, monitoring, and support of digital products
- Foster a culture where state-of-the-art approaches, tooling, and technologies are applied as fits with the mission of the department, the KPI and desired business impact.
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant fields
- Extensive knowledge of ABAP and OOABAP. Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience is required.
- Fluent English language skills both spoken & written
- S/4 HANA database experience
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum
- Exposure to SAP Gateway and configuring and building custom OData services and RAP (would be a plus)
- Good knowledge of RICFEW objects and deep focus on enhancement
- Knowledge of code push-down techniques with HANA and S/4 HANA
- ABAP on HANA exposure (CDS view, AMDP, Calculation Views, SQL SCRIPT)
- Experience in working with Integrations with SAP and non-SAP applications using SOAP, REST, ALE/EDI, etc.
- Knowledge of writing clean and efficient code to optimise application performance.
- Knowledge of developing and deploying in VS Code for front-end and Solution Manager for backend developments.
In addition, the following requirements are considered nice to have:
- Experience with S/4 HANA brownfield conversion or greenfield implementation projects
- Decent Javascript experience, Typescript would be a plus.
- Experience with versioning and code reviews through GitHub, CI/CD, and GitHub Actions would be a plus.
- Functional exposure to working in SAP CRM
