Business Development Manager
Location: Remote
Job Description:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for lead generation and growing the company’s online
and offline presence along with developing corporate partnerships. This is a position for someone eager to get
extensive experience in business development, while working in a challenging, yet collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities:
β Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about our company and drive qualified leads to
our front door
β Form partnerships with education companies, schools, financial institutions, parents groups, as well
as other organizations.
β Plan and execute online events, such as webinars
β Oversee in-house and partner presentations, RSVPs, and event success
β Research and attend industry events: expos, networking events, etc
β Generate interest in company services and programs through community outreach and networking.
β Discuss services and programs 1-on-1 with families and/or students to increase enrollment.
β Meet with families, follow up with leads, build personal connections with leads
Qualifications:
β Experience in business development
β Proficient in English and Mandarin
β Experience in the education industry of China or/and US is preferred
β Strong public speaker
β Must be a hard worker and eager to learn
β Must be outgoing, creative, diligent, and self-motivated
β Must have strong time-management skills
β Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in business development

Scholar Launch was founded in 2015 to provide unique academic opportunities for students around the world. By
partnering with scholars from top universities like Harvard, Yale, UC Berkeley, Georgia Tech, NYU, Emory, and many
others, Scholar Launch built a pool of hundreds of academic mentors who guide high school and college students in
advanced, individualized research projects. Since its founding, Scholar Launch has provided these unique mentorships for
more than 500 students in hundreds of personalized fields, ranging from computer science to anthropology to biomedical
engineering. Together with their academic mentors, students design personalized projects that they complete through
one-on-one meetings with their mentor and independent work, while receiving personalized feedback and ongoing
guidance. Students have gone on to publish their work, find jobs and internships in these fields, and secure letters of
recommendation for college or graduate school from their mentors.
Compensation: $40,000-45,000, negotiable depending on experience
