HOW YOU WILL SOAR: The Security Engineer II will report to the Director of Security Engineering in the Technology Department. This role is responsible for aligning security strategies with business strategies, performing triage of findings from independent audits or testing, and other tasks delegated to the security team. They will work closely with teams across the organization, IT security experts, and business stakeholders to ensure security and business priorities are aligned and delivered. The role is crucial to supporting the audit-ability of security controls along with reporting on Key Performance Indicators developed to demonstrate the security team’s contributions to operations. Develop a strong knowledge and skillset across multiple designated security functional areas including application security, technical project management, third party risk, policy governance, awareness training Contribute to the evidence collection and audit maintenance for organizational assessments. Collaborate with other security team members to determine resource availability Assist in the organization of security team responsibilities, including tracking of deadlines, team KPIs, and goals Prioritize and respond to findings from audits, security questionnaires, and internal/external scanning or testing Ensure security deliverables identified are tracked, remediated, and properly reported on Organization of security team tasks in ticketing systems and other tracking locations Organize team reporting metrics in Word, Visio, and PowerPoint Develop security department planning documents and assist with diagramming workflows Provide support to the Information Security Department to facilitate cross-functional work with other internal business units, such as Compliance, Legal, IT, Finance, HR, and engage with other leaders to drive security outcomes that benefit the organization Provide guidance to Security Engineer I role Other duties as assigned IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent experience 2-4 years of applicable experience Technical Certifications a plus Highly self-motivated Strong project management skills including securing resources and reporting on deadlines. Presentation building and refining skills involving creativity, accuracy, and detail Proficiency and confidence using Microsoft products such as PowerPoint for communicating status, updates, ideas, and influencing other teammates.
