About the project, We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer. Our client aims to transform the commercial strategy for the hospitality industry. The client’s platform simplifies data, turning complexity into confidence with practical market insights, business intelligence, and pricing tools that maximize revenue.
Your responsibilities, Collaborate on implementing new features for our existing products while also spearheading the creation of entirely new products., Architect, develop, and maintain both existing and new Python/Go (micro-)services., Ensure the reproducible and scalable deployment and monitoring of services., Deepen your understanding of our diverse, often intricate datasets by handling vast amounts of data in real-time through API implementations and data processing tasks., Explore, contemplate, and take charge of a portion of codebase/infrastructure, seeking opportunities for enhancement in terms of performance, efficiency, and adherence to best practices., Maintain the high quality of deliverables by conducting thorough testing as an integral part of the development process., Participate in product scrum teams, contributing to the creation of highly efficient and effective APIs for new feature implementations.
At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable role, Proficient in Python and/or Go programming, Familiarity with microservices architectures and any cloud platform (our preference is GCP), A strong interest in enhancing efficiency and optimizing performance, particularly in data processing and algorithmic design, Passionate about questioning the existing standards of API design and architecture, Proven track record of handling large datasets in a NoSQL environment, Holder of a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field, Fluency in English is a must
Optional, Proficiency in SQL, Understanding of the Django framework, Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product features
