Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer (Remote – United States)
HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO/CTO), the Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing ETR’s AWS-based infrastructure primarily using Terraform and managed infrastructure as code (IaC). Following industry best practices and working in a highly collaborative setting, the Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer designs, implements, deploys, and monitors infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and web-based applications. The Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer brings a security-first mindset. This is a remote position and can work from anywhere within the United States. WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING Deep experience in: Building and administering complicated cloud infrastructure with a team. Enough experience with the common infrastructure and pipeline models that you can lead the strategy and implementation. Working with multiple, heterogeneous teams toward a common set of principles. Industry-standard tooling, both use and implementation. Innovating while still achieving reliability and compliance goals. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 5+ years of production-level AWS experience (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certification preferred). 3+ years of experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Expertise in one or more of the following: ECS, EC2, RDS, EFS, S3, CloudFormation, GuardDuty, IAM, VPC, VPN, Control Tower. Experience with Terraform Cloud (HashiCorp Certified Cloud Engineer preferred). Experience with IaC and infrastructure testing strategies. Strong understanding of and experience with Docker and maintaining Docker images Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, from code commits to production. Experience achieving compliance and going through audits (SOC2, HIPAA, vendor, etc.) A strong background in software engineering. Hands-on programming expertise in one or more of the following: Python, Bash, Go JSON, YAML, HCL Proficiency with code repository management (Git knowledge required). ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and supporting applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet short deadlines, and willingness to work additional hours during deadline periods. Ability to travel as assigned. The use of a personal vehicle or rental car for ETR business will require a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Starting Pay Range: $136,400-$166,700 annually. The typical hiring range for this position is $136,400 to $151,500 at 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
