As a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, reliability, and robustness of our information assets against a backdrop of evolving cyber threats.

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in Cyber Threat & Analytics will be instrumental in fortifying our cybersecurity posture through the application of advanced analytics techniques, particularly leveraging tools like Power BI. Under the guidance of the Director of IT Security or Manager Cyber Threat & Analytics, this role executes routine tasks within the Threat Intelligence & Analysis team.
You will also collaborate across departments, integrate data analytics processes into cybersecurity operations, develop and implement advanced solutions to identify and analyze threats and vulnerabilities. Leverage Power BI and other analytics platforms, you’ll assist in creating insight dashboards and reports to inform executive decision-making. Additionally, you will design and automate cybersecurity reporting processes, stay updated on emerging trends, facilitate audits, and undertake other assigned duties.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Under the direction of the Director of IT Security or the Manager Cyber Threat & Analytics, performs routine assignments on the Threat Intelligence & Analysis team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data analytics processes into cybersecurity operations, including developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions to identify, analyze, and report on cybersecurity threat and vulnerabilities.
- Help drive decision-making at the executive leadership level utilizing Power BI and other analytics platforms to create insight dashboards and reports to communicate complex data effectively, as directed by the Manager Cyber Threat & Analytics.
- Design and automate cybersecurity reporting processes to provide timely insights to key stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity and data analytics, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge to improve organizational cybersecurity posture.
- Facilitate audits of processes related to Security Services.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in Power BI development
- 4+ years of experience in with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, or similar business analyst duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a security support function
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices
- Knowledge of Splunk database and ODBC connectors
- General working knowledge of the gas and electric utility industry
- Experience working in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government
- Analytical abilities, including process analysis and development, problem solving and root cause analysis
- Experience creating processes and workflows
