Essential Duties:

The Senior Data Analyst must understand the financial and operational sides of our business. The Senior Data Analyst will create, manage, and analyze various database reporting tools to support corporate and operational decision makers. The Senior Data Analyst is required to have a high level of business and engineering process skills, experience with database management and scripting languages, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.

The position is typically expected to consist of: 

  • 50% report creation, dashboard design, and data mining 
  • 20% scripting/software development 
  • 10% training, education, and documentation for users 
  • 10% supervise and direct data analyst staff 
  • 10% support general functions.

The above allocations will frequently vary 

Key/Essential Functions:

  • Use SQL, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, MS Excel and other tools to develop financial and operational reports 
  • Develop meaningful reports and presentations for the executive team 
  • Effectively communicate findings and analysis to various members of the organization
  • Work with all areas of the organization to deliver reports and tools on a scheduled and as-needed basis
  • Support the development of new software and applications through gathering requirements, design, and development 
  • Review the work of other data analyst(s) and provide feedback to improve efficiency
  • Organize and coordinate data analysis activities to ensure maximum productivity

Other General Responsibilities:

General Data Analysis support is expected of all team members in the Data Analysis team, including ad-hoc reports, projects and tasks when needed and assigned by management

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Required – Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills
  • Required – Advanced Excel skills 
  • Required – Intermediate to Advanced Tableau/Power BI/SSRS or similar skills
  • Required – Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of the organization
  • Required – Strong problem solving and communication skills 
  • Required – Strong project management skills 
  • Preferred – The ideal candidate will have healthcare data management experience

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a data analyst role.
  • Preferred 3 years in the healthcare industry 

Training/License/Certification: Preferred courses in SQL, Tableau, Project Management, and Finance
