This position can be remote anywhere in the U.S. The Information Security Strategy and Analytics team is seeking an experienced data engineering professional to build and support data processing and reporting for Information Security leaders and partners. This role will support the entire data pipeline from ingestion, normalization, and aggregation through the development of reporting and visualizations designed to drive change within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong data engineering and business intelligence experience and will have worked closely with information security teams to develop leadership-focused reporting. In this role you’ll be responsible for: Creating, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards to provide executive management and other stakeholders with clear, concise, and actionable insights into our security posture and operational health. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop reporting aligned with organizational goals. Working closely with data source owners and customers to understand, ingest, standardize, analyze, and summarize quantitative and qualitative data. Developing and maintaining documentation including data lineage, metric definitions, and reporting processes. Tools and skills you will use in this role: Python programming for data exploration, integration, and manipulation AWS data handling tools such as Glue, S3, and Athena Design and use of AWS CI/CD tooling for code management and production deployment Dbt (data build tool) for data pipeline development SQL for data querying and summarization Report development using Power BI Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years experience OR Masters Degree with 6 years experience OR PhD with 2 years experience. Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in data engineering, business intelligence, and information security disciplines. 2+ years of experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar platforms. Adept at Python programming with an emphasis on API integrations and data manipulation following DRY (don’t repeat yourself) principles. Advanced experience using SQL to query and summarize data. Experience managing Extract-Load-Transform (ELT) processes using native AWS technologies such as S3, Glue, and Athena. Experience guiding non-technical partners through the process of data discovery, onboarding, metric selection, and report development. Experience tailoring reporting and communications to various levels of management including executive audiences. Beneficial: Experience working with Information Security teams to develop reporting and metrics for security and business leaders. Working knowledge of typical corporate security teams, their departments, and core services. Experience managing data pipelines with AWS CI/CD tooling and data management technologies such as dbt (data build tool).
