Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to leverage AI, machine learning, data mining, and creative problem-solving expertise to deliver insight-driven results. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate advanced analytics into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate is data-curious, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and passionate about solving problems. Where You’re Located: Candidates for this role will be based in the United States and work remotely. Requirements Champion a data-driven and customer-focused culture. Solve complex problems using advanced ML, AI, and mathematical modeling and optimization techniques with involvement in the whole lifecycle, including but not limited to pre-processing, feature engineering, problem formulation, algorithmic selection/evaluation, modeling, hyper-parameter tuning, and model deployment. Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes. Mine and analyze data from company databases to optimize and improve product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies. Design, develop, and implement production-level code. Own the full development cycle: design, development, impact assessment, A/B testing (including interpretation of results), and production deployment. Serve as a subject matter expert in data, advanced analytics, and visualization within Roadpass Digital, ensuring accurate interpretation of core business metrics, data models, and reports. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. Ensure the delivery of high-quality data products. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements. Contribute to owning our Data Platform’s development, maintenance, and delivery, empowering the organization to use data to drive strategy and decisions effectively. Play an active role in implementing and managing the data flow between third-party data providers (e.g., Segment, etc.) and internal systems that consume that data (e.g., Customer.io). Oversee behavioral event tracking and data flow to/from Segment. Ensure that event data aligns with the spec, is consistent, and accurately represented within data modeling. Accountable for developing and implementing solid QA processes and data governance standards, ensuring the results we deliver to the business are always accurate. Troubleshoot day-to-day errors and issues that arise from the data pipeline, integrations, and reporting. Ensure new product or data initiatives comply with security and privacy policies and/or laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Education and Experience: 4+ years experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, analytics engineering, or similar highly analytical role. Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Analytics). Strong experience with R or Python. Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to bring clarity to complexity and communicate customer needs, architectural requirements, and product goals across cross-functional teams. Proven track record leading the development and delivery of advanced, actionable Data Science, Machine Learning / AI products and services, including creating predictive models that serve as a foundation for new product offerings. Ability to translate highly complex processes for non-technical audiences. Team player with proven ability to educate team members. Self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with a demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate, and work well with others. Ability to identify and assess key opportunity areas where data science can enhance and improve existing products by increasing the efficiency of processes and accuracy of model/analytical results. Expertise in building, deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production. Advanced SQL knowledge to query data warehouses, including knowledge of CTEs and window functions. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Confident in decision-making and able to explain processes or choices as needed. Demonstrated experience and passion for developing clear and easy-to-understand metrics, creativity with feature engineering, and dashboards/visualizations (e.g., Looker, MixPanel). Knowledge of data visualization best practices and strong data storytelling skills. Experience with cloud data warehouses and platforms (e.g., Snowflake). Strong analytical mind toward breaking down business questions with data answers. Experience overseeing behavioral event tracking and CDP implementations (e.g., Segment).
