Overview: The Azure Cloud Experiences Studio (CXS) is a multidisciplinary user experience (UX) studio of dedicated UX professionals working on Microsoft Azure cloud products and services. The teams across the studio design experiences around cloud management, infrastructure, core OS services, engineering systems, service health, and much more. Azure’s #CloudExperienceStudio is looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead a team of talented designers and user researchers. Together, you and your team will help create and nurture the next generation of Adaptive Cloud Experiences for Microsoft Azure. Edge and Platform Research and Design (E+P R+D) is a multidisciplinary team in Cloud Experience Studio designing the next generation of edge computing, IOT, application, and infrastructure, observability and productivity, and cloud-based media services. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design OR Master’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems). Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional / Preferred Qualifications: Proven record of impact as a UX Manager. A high-quality portfolio and presentation are critical to interview for this role. It should communicate your work experience, management style, and business impact. Expertise building scalable UX engagement processes while educating and influencing product teams. Ability to work well in an ever-changing, multidisciplinary team environment where you’ll be expected to wear multiple hats and move frequently between projects. Ability to lead teams under tight deadlines, ambiguous situations, and in undefined product areas and features. Effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills that drive compelling conversations and clear presentations. Ability to scope and estimate efforts accurately and prioritize tasks and goals independently. Responsibilities: You’ll create a positive work environment and inclusive culture.
