Your Impact We are Axon Platform X (APX) , a group of dedicated product professionals that own, build and operate the mission critical services and capabilities that Axon products need like authentication, evidentiary chain of trust, evidence storage, and x-platform cloud foundations. Our customers are Axon products like Evidence.com, Axon Records, Axon Real Time Operations and Axon Devices (TASER and Connected Cameras) that use our services and APIs to execute the mission of protecting life, reducing social conflict, and building a fair and effective justice system. The capabilities that APX owns are the heart and lungs for all Axon products. We protect customer trust by securely authenticating users, systems, and first / third party apps as well as enforcing permissions within all Axon products. We ingest and manage well over 100PB of digital evidence from Axon products like body cameras as well as third party sources, securely storing data for later evidentiary use. APX sets the standards and leads the way for the entire company on operational excellence, incident response, and service reliability engineering. We ensure our systems are highly reliable, scalable, and cost efficient – in support of all world-wide Axon products and services. Every important event of note within Axon products leaves an imprint through our audit services, ensuring trust in our evidence as it moves through the criminal justice system. As the Senior Director of Product Management for Axon Platform X, you will be responsible for the APX product organization, incubating and growing our portfolio to ensure our technical foundations support all of Axon’s existing and new business and product roadmaps. You will establish the vision for your team’s capabilities and services, define and set the product roadmap for the years ahead, listen closely to our customers and lead our teams to execute effectively. What You’ll Do Location: US Remote OR Seattle, Washington Reports to: VP of Platform Direct Reports: 4-6, spanning US and Vietnam Own the mission, vision and strategic growth of APX across Axon and with third parties Establish the product strategy for APX and grow our portfolio of services Hire, develop and nurture a world class product management organization Understand customer and internal stakeholder needs and ensure our services are meeting them. Where there are gaps, you will show us the way forward. Establish the product roadmap for your space and earn buy-in from stakeholders across Axon Communicate the value your services deliver clearly, what’s coming and how what we do solves problems for Axon Drive day-to-day progress and improve the effectiveness of the organization in accomplishing its mission Role model excellent communication, company wide trust building, ownership and delivering results Maintain excellent, collaborative stakeholder relationships What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of software product experience, with at least 5 in product or program management. 3+ years of team leadership and people management experience. Demonstrated experience in managing complex product launches from inception to wide adoption. Demonstrated experience working with software engineering teams with trust and credibility. Ability and eagerness to quickly learn new technologies and approaches. Demonstrated ability to influence people and organizations. Experience with infrastructure and platform as a service offerings is a plus. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 166,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 319,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
