Senior Network Security Engineer! Remote, long-term contract This Engineer is responsible for implementing network and security best practices with regard to network, infrastructure and application requirements for on premises and cloud deployments. The Security / Engineer will help establish and implement solutions to difficult engineering and security problems. The Security / Engineer will mature enterprise security solutions to meet business goals and support global IT counterparts. The role identifies assets and assess risks, threats and vulnerabilities in accordance with accepted business and regulations to ensure security design integrity, availability, and confidentiality compliance. * Minimum Associate’s degree in CS or equivalent, Bachelors preferred * A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with a combination of functional technical experience with aspects of major enterprise business systems and related technologies. * Minimum three (3) years of experience working with Cisco Route Switch and ASA or other enterprise firewalls is required * Next-generation firewall management, monitoring, event management/remediation (Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, or equivalent) * Cisco routing/switching knowledge at least at the CCNP level (with or without the certification) * A history of designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, and debugging network Experience in the following: * Azure networking and security * Cisco and Palo Alto Firewall experience * Cisco Routing and Switching * Cisco ISE * Cisco Umbrella or OpenDNS * Endpoint Security with EDR capabilities (Cisco AMP, MS Defender, etc.) * Experience working with Windows and Nix systems * LDAPS, SAML, RADIUS, and TACACS+ authentication methods * Microsoft Active Directory (AD) * PowerShell and/or Python scripting * Public key infrastructure * Security certification (Security+, CCNA Security/Cyber Ops, GSEC, CISSP, etc) * Security incident response * Security Logging / SIEM * Service Management Processes * VPN Administration (S2S and Remote Access) * Wireshark and other tools for TCP/IP packet capture analysis Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
