Senior Network Security Engineer

What youll do:
As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for interfacing directly with end-users and vendors to assess, recommend, design, and implement network security solutions, firewall rules, and policies. Manage Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, and Checkpoint firewalls. Conduct regular network reviews to identify opportunities to improve security. Upgrade and patch network equipment, and implement solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve network security related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as Network Security lead on multifunctional project teams within IT and across lines of business.
- Participates in network security planning, design, and implementation efforts.
- Designs and implements firewall rules to support business needs while maintaining adherence to security policies and best practices.
- Configures and maintains firewalls, VPN, SASE and other network security solutions.
- Works with the Cybersecurity team to identify opportunities to improve network security and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
- Performs periodic firewall reviews, evaluates against company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best-practices.
- Upgrades and patches firewalls and other products to maintain security posture.
- Works with management to develop, communicate, implement, and maintain network policies, standards, and procedures.
What youll need:
EDUCATION: BS/BE degree in computer science, cybersecurity or related IT fields, or equivalent experience.
CERTIFICATIONS: PCNSE, or other intermediate to advanced level industry recognized certifications.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 6 years experience as a Network Engineer or Network Security Engineer in a large-scale inter-network environment with proven complex network support experience.
