About the project, We are seeking a Senior Python Developer/Data Engineer to design and implement server-side code for developing Quant Analytics, architect and build scalable big data warehouses in the cloud, and design high-performance, secure APIs., , Client Company’s is a financial technology company specializing in analytics and solutions for the fixed income and derivatives markets. Your responsibilities, Design and implementation of low-latency, high-memory, high-availability, and scalable cloud-native applications., Write clean, maintainable, reusable, testable, and efficient Python code for various projects, including big data ETL pipelines, analytics tools, and automation scripts., Implementation of security protocols to protect data and infrastructure., Creating database to integrate big data from third party vendors., Coordinate with team members to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions., Collaborate with cross-functional teams like front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to implement features., Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and functionality of the code produced by peers., Troubleshoot and debug issues promptly to maintain operational effectiveness., Use version control systems, like Git, to keep track of code changes., Optimize applications for speed and scalability without compromising quality., Test code rigorously and update existing test cases to ensure robustness., Document code, procedures, and project milestones to maintain organizational transparency., Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure software remains current., Assist in setting project milestones and meet deadlines.
7+ years of experience in software development., 5+ years of working experience as a Python Developer., Experience with Apache Airflow, Experience interfacing Python with low level languages such as C/C++., Experience with Python data engineering tools such as Pandas and Numpy., Experience writing code for TCP/IP Socket communications, REST API and FTP., Strong unit test and debugging skills., Knowledge of relational databases and Object Relational Mapper libraries., Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments., Knowledge of streaming and messaging platform such as Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, and RabbitMQ., Knowledge of Python web framework such as Django and Flask are a plus., Deep understanding in defining, designing, and creating multi-process cloud architecture projects., Experience architecting secure and scalable data warehouse on AWS., Experience programming in AWS architecture including familiarity with AWS EC2, AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, AWS S3, AWS Transfer Family, AWS SQS, AWS Lambda, VPC, IAM, AWS CLI, AWS SDK for Python., Experience deploying micro-services architectures on containerization platforms such as Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes., Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines as well as Infrastructure as Code Tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation., Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Splunk., Knowledge of collaboration and communication platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Atlassian Jira., Strong scripting skills in Linux/Unix operating system., Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
