Who we’re looking for

A highly experienced Senior Smart Contract Developer to join our team full-time. You will be iterating on Echelon’s existing products (Lending market, Leveraged staking), as well as developing future products to help scale up the Echelon application suite.

Our mission is to pioneer the future of Move DeFi. Imagine an L1 with the speed of Solana, the security guarantees of formal verification, and the integrated ecosystem of Ethereum and its L2s. That’s what we want to build Aptos into alongside Thala Labs.

We’re primarily remote, but we are able to accommodate in-person workspaces across North America

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Help architect MVPs that will become essential to Echelon’s DeFi product suite such as margin accounts and trading, options vaults, and liquidity
  • Build out new contracts using Move, develop and test and iterate these smart contracts
  • Deploy and monitor smart contracts in mainnet
  • Work with frontend developers to streamline dApp integration and functionality
  • Evaluate Move-language docs, smart contract libraries, and other tools and help make decisions as to which should be included in our stack

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in developing smart contracts with high TVL for production environments, or track record in building backend systems in top tech companies
  2. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and a focus on code quality and best practices
  3. Experience with a low-level programming languages such as Rust, Go, Java, or C/C++
  4. Interest or familiarity in “smart contract” languages such as Move and Solidity
  5. Code security and auditing experience
