We are looking for the next possible date at our headquarters in Hanover for a

Software Developer (m/f/d) / Programmer (m/f/d) COBOL What you can look forward to:

  • You will modernize legacy mainframe applications in the IBM mainframe environment (COBOL, z/OS) or ensure their further development in line with requirements until they are replaced
  • You participate in projects and are available for new tasks within the scope of project work – from requirements analysis and IT design to implementation and testing
  • You communicate proactively both with the specialist departments and within IT, thereby ensuring the successful implementation of projects
  • Further development/modernization and integration of HOST systems in heterogeneous environments
  • Incident management/error analysis/troubleshooting in the mainframe environment
  • Releases of mainframe releases

What you bring with you:

  • Degree in (business) informatics or a comparable specialist qualification
  • Preferably industry knowledge from the insurance industry
  • practical experience in the IBM mainframe environment, z/OS, DB2, CICS, Cobol, VSAM, JCL
  • Ideally knowledge of Eclipse and Java
  • You are a team player (m/f/d) and convince through analytical and conceptual work
  • You are characterized by pragmatism and goal orientation
